Ethan Resnik

Public Relations Manager & Technician

Ethan Resnik is a composer, pianist, budding mbira player, and improviser who evokes personal stories, memories, and meaningful experiences through music, while using his synesthetic associations to add depth and color to his sound. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, a minor in French from the University of Rochester, a Master of Music Degree at Rice University, and is excited to return to Eastman for his doctorate in fall 2026.

His music has been performed and recorded by ensembles including HYPERCUBE, Four Corners Ensemble, Sandbox Percussion, American Modern Ensemble, Transient Canvas, Eastman Horn Choir, Penn-State Horn Ensemble, The Rhythm Method String Quartet, Tacet(i) Ensemble, Quartetto Zuena, North/South Chamber Orchestra, Akron Symphonic Winds, and the Mettis Quartet.

As a pianist, he attended and performed at the National Music Festival, Bowdoin Music Festival, Brevard, Maine Chamber Music Seminar, and the Remix Ensemble Academy in Portugal. He was a soloist with the North Shore Symphony Orchestra and a finalist in the Yonkers Philharmonic Concerto Competition. Ethan also enjoys playing chamber music, accompanying, and premiering new works written by his peers.

Ethan is also an avid roller coaster enthusiast, having spent his childhood researching their heights, speeds, and other statistics. He also enjoys hiking, going to beaches, and world geography. His current goals include trying to memorize the location and capital city of every country and territory in the world, all of which he hopes to visit one day.
