Dana Crytser

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Dana Crytser is part flutist, part environmentalist, full adventure seeker. Dana seeks to celebrate the soundscape of the natural world by bringing music into and recognizing the aural beauty inherent in outdoor spaces. Extremely passionate about environmental preservation and conservation, she has spent considerable time exploring music’s role in combating climate change and dreams of a career at the intersection of musical performance and environmental activism. Dana holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance with a Chamber Music Concentration from the University of South Carolina where she graduated with honors. Dana is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Flute Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music where she studies with Bonita Boyd. When not playing her flute, Dana can be found rock climbing, hiking, running, or otherwise enjoying being outdoors.
