Yimei Liang

Yimei Liang is an undergraduate pianist studying under Professor Marina Lomazov at the Eastman School of Music. Originally from Beijing, China, she began her formal music education at the Middle School affiliated with the China Conservatory. She later continued her studies in the United States, earning her high school diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy, where she studied with Professor TJ Lymenstull.

Yimei has performed in solo recitals and concerts across the United States, mainland China, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy. She has distinguished herself in numerous competitions, winning First Prize for Best Schumann Performance, as well as First Prize in the Interlochen Concerto Competition, which led to a solo performance with the Interlochen Orchestra in 2022.

In addition to her performance accolades, Yimei has participated in prestigious summer programs such as the Amalfi Coast Music Festival and the Vivace Music Festival. She has also taken part in masterclasses with a number of renowned pianists, including Alexander Korsantia, HaeSun Paik, Christopher Harding, Boris Slutsky, Ursula Oppens, and Michelle Cann, among others.
